Our Purpose

POISE4TEENS was created to bridge the gap between adolescence and adulthood by providing teens with practical education, real-world exposure, and meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth.

 

Our purpose is to prepare teens for academic success, employment, leadership, entrepreneurship, scholarship opportunities, civic engagement, and independent living through hands-on learning and supportive relationships.

 

Our goal is to move teens from the classroom to the boardroom — prepared, polished, and positioned for success.

About POISE4TEENS

POISE4TEENS — Providers of Optimal Ideal Superior Education 4 Teens — offers after-school and summer camp programming designed to help teens successfully transition into adulthood.

Through academic assistance, etiquette training, financial literacy, life skills, career exploration, job readiness, leadership development, civic engagement, and enrichment activities, POISE4TEENS equips teens with the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed for success in school, work, and life.

 

POISE4TEENS provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment where teens can discover their purpose and move from the classroom to the boardroom — prepared, polished, and positioned for success.

The after-school program operates Monday through Friday from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM.
    The summer camp program operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Our VISION

POISE4TEENS envisions a future where all teens confidently transition into adulthood equipped with the academic knowledge, social etiquette, financial literacy, leadership abilities, and career skills needed to thrive, become self-sufficient, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Kids Hope Alliance: The Jacksonville Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families (KHA) is a fiscal agency of the City of Jacksonville and is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of children and youth programs, services, and activities accomplished through third-party service providers.
